A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a specific e-mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten email address under the same domain, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you are running some company, for example. Since you may begin receiving spam emails, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filters so as to receive only real emails in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting
In case you have a shared web hosting service with our company and you wish to activate the catch-all feature for a particular email mailbox that you’ve got in the hosting account, it’ll take literally just a mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each email address that you have set up under any domain name hosted in the account. You can pick one single address per domain by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature immediately, so all emails sent to misspelled email addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking on the button once again will disable the catch-all feature. In case you have enabled email forwarding, our system will show a warning notice and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply select another mailbox to be the catch-all one.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
You will be able to set up a catch-all email address with no more than one click in case you have a semi-dedicated server with us and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the addresses that you create with any domain hosted in your account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this feature will be to click on that icon. In the same fashion you’ll be able to disable the feature, in case you don’t need it anymore. Our system will notify you in case you’re trying to activate a second catch-all address for a certain domain or in case there’s activated email forwarding, but it’ll never alter or disable anything automatically and without your permission.
